Le Landeron
Trip to Le Landeron 2004
I was in Switzerland many times, because my sister is married there from 1992.
Originally she lived at Landeron, her husband native town. That lovely historical town is located in French district of Switzerland between Biel and
Neuchatel,
1,5 hour by train to Geneva. The main square of the town built of ancient houses with lots of nice restaurants and coffee-houses,
with green park in the middle remains me part of Kampa in Prague. I love that lovely ancient town very much.
Later they moved to a new residential part of Neuchatel located upon the river surrounded by wine yards.
Now they stay and probably always will, at Neueville almost on the boarder between French and German districts.
Theyve built a beautiful modern house on the hill with a mountain on the back (which is going to save them, as my sister expained me)
with a beautiful view from the living room in the first floor to the lovely lake (like almost in every Swiss town) with Alps behind.
The view from large windows are really amazing.
That area is quite windy and thats why the view you are watching is changing all the time.
There is old church in Le Landeron called " Die Kapelle von Combes " which is from 17th century.
- The chapel of Combes
The chapel, which in 17. Century was built grasps of their Terasse from the whole area.
From this lookout point one sees the lake and the far level of the Entre deux Lacs,
which extends between the new castle he and the Bielersee.
