The Castle Quarter Buda and its surroundings
The Roayal Palace located at Szent Square was built in 13th century.
Five hundered yeras later it was reconstructed into barocco style and for 700 years it was used as a seat of Hungarian Kings.

Szecheny Library with the largest collection of books in Hungary,Ludwig Museum with important units of contemporary art.
Among next attractions of Castle Quarter you can admire Hungarian Historical Panoptikum located at
Sandr Palace with famous persons and effects from Hungarian History. St Matthews Church
at Szentharomsag Square was built more than 700 years ago. There were taking place coronations
and royal weddings. Now in summer concerts are held there anually. Just nearby you could
be surprised by an architectonically original solution: combination of medieval Dominican St.
Nicolas Monastry with elegant Hotel Hilton.Most of the residence houses located between Besci and Disz Squares are coming from medieval
and some of them are protected as a historical memory.
Gellert Hill
In the middle of the town at the Danube Quay you can see 235m high hill, protected area containing thermal springs supplying 3 spas nearby.

Obuda
Before the Budapest City was founded, there was a 2000 years old Roman Town called Aquincum. Untill now you can find
at Northern part of Budapest some relics of two amphiteatres, villas decorated by mosaic, spring and one aquaduct.
At quite large place of ruins of Museum Aquincum you can see somwe relics as statues, paints and ancient organs.
At the main Obuda square called Foter there are lots of cosy pubs and two interesting museums.
Monuments of Buda
Buda Quarter is a green lung of Budapest with lots of lovely hills made for nice walks.
We can offer you the following trip. By tram no. 56 (oming from Moszkva Square) to the Szechenyi Hill and then by kidss railway to a Huvos Valley.
From the highest hill of Budapest called Janos Hil by chair-lift to Zugliget and than by bus no. 158 back to Moszkva Sq.
Among the monuments from the Turkish period we would like to remind the pilgrime place Gul baba Turbe and Turkish thermal, bath and steam spas Kiraly.
Margarets Island
The best and the largest park in Budapest is 2 km long green area located betwen Margarets and Arpads bridges.
Under hundereds years old trees you can find a real relax in a Roses Garden or japanese Garden with a thermal lake and water-fall,
or at the open-air cinema.The relics of 700 years old walls are coming from the Dominican and Franciscan momastries and on the tower
of Premonstrates Chapel there is ringing the oldest bell in Hungary.
Pest Centrum
The most elegant shopping centres are located at Vaci and Petofi Streets and Vorosmarty Square.On the north of that area there is a Parliament,
one of the most formidable building in Hungary. You can visit Parliament with a guide, the same as Opera, which was built on 1875-84.
Nearby there is a St. Stephen Basilic which was founded in first half of 19th century.Inside you can find statues, paints,
paints on glass made by important Hungarian artists.There is also a balmed right hand of first Hungarian King Stephen, later declared as a saint.
On the Marcius Square you can se an interesting parish church built of various architectonic styles and the Synagogue at Dohany Street, the largest one in Europe.
In the very centre at Vigado Square there is a Redute from 1860 offering lots af concerts and expositions.
City Garden
The most important garden in Pest is a town forest and its famous buildingsd were built by City Council in 1896.
Milenium Monument on the Hosok Tere Square is decorated by great leaders from Hungarian history.
In Museum of Beau Arts there is the most valuable exposition. There are the paints of most important world masters as Raffael, Tizian, Da Vinci, Rubens,etc.
And from the 19 th century Gaugin, Monet, RenoirThe Vajdahunyad Castle located at the Szecheney Island is built in various styles as roman, baroco,
gothic and renaissance.The Traffical Muzeum is one of the oldest museums in such style in Europe.
The Zoo and Botanical Garden more than 100 years old are saved by memorial protection. Nearby the Zoo there is a Big Circus and the Park of Entertainment.

one of the greatest travellers in medieval ages, in 16the century.
That great Turkish writer didnt write that sentence by chance, cause 128 active springs are really bringing lots of healing water.
At Budapest famous as a Spa City - has more than 30 thermal springs (a world record!) and 10 of them have got a name spa.

The Doh? Synagogue (Great Synagogue), in Budapest was built in year 1859, the Doh? Street Synagogue is
also well known as the Great Synagogue, in Budapest is Europe's largest synagogue and the second largest in the world. There is one in New York city larger.
Doh? Synagogue can seat up to 3000 people. The Synagogue is still in active use by Budapest's Jewish community until now.
The synagogue, is designed like a basilica, includes striking Byzantine and Moorish elements.
The interior is vast and ornate, with two balconies and, unusually, an organ. Its ark contains 25 torah scrolls taken from other synagogues destroyed during the Holocaust.

In the city centre there are floors parkings available as i.e.: Szervita t?Square,
Aranyk?utca street or at K?in tt?Square. Price: 240 HUF per hour or 2400 HUF per charged, usually from 80 1401 HUF per hour.
Express Line
Trains are going from Bathy? t?direction to Szentendre Town via Aquincum. From Bathy? t?to Aquincum goes every 10 mins, from Aquincum to Szentendre Town every 20 mins.

Danubes Corner
Beautiful and quiet holiday area is situated nnearby to North of Budapest.
Sometimes its beautry is compared with a lovely Rhyn Valley. In the medievals ther was aroyal seat of Arp? K?s.
Szentendre
Narrow lanes, coloured houses, various towers of churches, lots of museums, famous pubs, coffee bars,
boutiques and folk bazars - all that historical atmosphere attracts tourists all the time. Four churches of Lord were built in 17th century by Serbians and until now they belong to the Orthodox Church.
Visegrad
In 1330 was founded a new Royal Palace an in 14th century the town was declared as a Royal Town.
Historical survivals from the perios are exposed at the mathew ? Museum at FO 29 Street.
King Salmons Tower from the 13th century, one of the biggest and most extant Roman towers in the Central Europe,
was a part of a town fort between water fort and Citadele on the hil. In that Citadele built
in 1245 55 was saved a crown of King Stephen for 200 years. From the Nagyvill?Mountain there is a beautiful view,
nearby there is a summer bob lane and the Mogyor Mountain belongs to the most favourite places in capital surrounders.
Esztergom
The first Hungarian King Stephen, the founder of the state, later declared as the saint, was born there.
In the 11th century the city was the main Roayla Residence and the Church Centre of the country.
Today its the seat of the Esztergom Bishop, a head of the Hungarian Catholic Church.
Visegrad
V?is famous not only by its Barocco Main Square and a Bishops Seat for 900 years, but also with its Arc of Victory,
the lonely one in Hungary which was built in 1764 in honour of Empress Marie Terezie visit. On Migazzi Square there is
a Bishop Palace coming from 18th century.In so called White Church there is an interesting Rococo altar, at the same square
there is a former Greek Church today used as exposission spaces.14 km to the south you can find a large and beautiful
Botanical Garden with more then 12 000 kinds of plants and flowers, romantic water mill, ancient wooden bridge
over the cmall wild river and an open-air stage with symphonical concerts in summer.
Nagymaros
From Nagymaros, an acient seat founded in medievals you can have a view to a beautiful panorama of Visegr?
Very interesting is also an amazing Roman-Catholic Church located at the Szent Imre Square.
Borzsony Highlands
Borzsony is a highland with more than 335 springs and wild rivers. From the Csv?os Mountain
939 meters high there is a beautiful view to all surroundings and from the Hegyes-T? Hill you can have a view to all Danube curve.
Godolo
The Grassalkovich Castle founded in the 18th century in Hungarian Barocco style was used to
have quite often very importatnt persons visits, as i.e. the royal couple of an
Emperor Frank-Joseph and his wife Elizabeth, with Hungarians very popular Sissy.
R?eve
That place located at the Danube River side is popular especially by fishermen and by water sports funs.The
Barocco Savoyen Castle interior from the 17th century was reconstructed into a hotel.At Viola street there is the lonely medieval
Serbian Church with a beautiful lierna vault and medieval murals.
Zs??
Earthquake 300 years ago deffinitely destroiedthe Roman Basilic from the 13th century But that ruin itself attracts the tourist by its impozant looking.
At a close Magyar street there is a curious private collection: Museum of Lamps and Flashlights with more then 1200 exponates.
